Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to enter the AI glasses market by partnering with Goertek for its wearable device, which is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2025. This product launch is expected to coincide with the Mi Fan Festival in April.
According to sources, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun set an ambitious target for the glasses, and the expected shipment volume reached at least 300,000 units. Its new AI-powered glasses reportedly aim to compete with Meta’s Ray-Ban models by integrating both AI capabilities and advanced hardware features.
According to the “Intelligent Emergence” report, Xiaomi’s glasses will feature a number of cutting-edge technology-focused modules, including AI integration, audio headset components, and camera modules, all designed to directly compete with Meta’s high-end glasses series.
Notably, the new device is likely to come under the company’s primary brand, marking a significant step in Xiaomi’s expansion into the wearable technology sector.
Other companies such as OPPO, Vivo, Huawei, Tencent and ByteDance are also exploring possibilities in the AI-powered glasses market, but sources indicate that their projects are currently in earlier development stages. Many industry experts expect other tech giants to launch AI glasses by late 2025.
