Xiaomi: Plans Revealed, Two New SUVs and the Amazing SU7 Ultra

Xiaomi continues to innovate and expand its automotive offering, riding the success achieved by the berlina SU7. In the coming years, the Chinese manufacturer plans to introduce new models that promise to revolutionize the electric car market. Among these, the SU7 Ultra stands out, an extremely high-performance version of the already known Xiaomi SU7, equipped with three electric motors that develop a total of 1,548 hp. With these features, Xiaomi aims to break the lap record at the Nürburgring, one of the most famous and challenging circuits in the world.

But Xiaomi does not stop here. The future of the range also includes the launch of two new SUVsThe first, currently known by the code name MX11is scheduled for 2025 and should come with a coupe designas suggested by recent spy photos of prototypes undergoing testing. This model represents an important step for Xiaomi in the compact SUV segment.

In 2026, Xiaomi will introduce a second, larger SUV that can seat up to six passengers. Known internally as the “N3“, this vehicle will be equipped with an electric motor supported by a range extender, a combustion engine that powers the electric generator to increase autonomy. Both models will be equipped with advanced braking technologies: the MX11 will use the “Dynamic Power Braking” (DPB), while the N3 will adopt the second-generation intelligent braking technology.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, new details

While details about the new SUVs remain scarce, Xiaomi continues to reveal impressive features of the SU7 Ultra. In addition to power, this electric sedan will be capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.97 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 350 km/h. The SU7 Ultra is engineered for performance with carbon-fiber bodywork and optimized aerodynamics, generating up to 2,145kg of downforce at high speeds.

With these ambitious projects, Xiaomi aims to consolidate its presence in the automotive sector, aiming to increase production up to 100,000 units per year by November 2024continuing the growth recorded with 27,307 units delivered in the second quarter of 2024, for a turnover of 792 million euros.
