Xiaomi’s Redmi introduced the Redmi Watch 5 Active last month and today it is introducing the Redmi Watch 5 Lite.
The Redmi Watch 5 Lite looks like the Watch 5 Active, but has an always-on AMOLED display instead of an LCD. It has a diagonal of 1.96″ and is brighter with a maximum brightness of 600 nits. Its resolution is also higher (502×410 pixels) and supports 200+ cloud faces, of which 50+ are customizable and 30+ are always-on (AOD).
Redmi Watch 5 Lite runs HyperOS and is compatible with smartphones running Android 6 or iOS 12 and above. It also comes with Alexa and supports emoji and Hindi language as well. In addition, it supports Bluetooth calling and has a speaker and two microphones for environmental noise cancellation (ENC) to facilitate clear calls.
For health and fitness monitoring, Redmi Watch 5 Lite has a heart rate sensor and supports 150+ indoor and outdoor sports functions. It can also track your swimming performance as it has 5 ATM water resistance.
Other features of the Redmi Watch 5 Lite include a multi-functional side button, built-in GPS, SpO2 sensor and Bluetooth 5.3. The smartwatch packs a 470mAh battery, which is advertised to offer up to 18 days of endurance under typical use and 12 days under heavy use.
The face of the Redmi Watch 5 Lite weighs 29.2g without the bands, which are made of TPU and have an adjustable length of 135-200mm. The smartwatch is available in Black and Light Gold colors, while the straps are in Candy Pink, Mint Green and Lemon Yellow.
The Redmi Watch 5 Lite is priced at INR 3,999 ($50/€40).
