- Xiaomi showed a prototype racing electric car at a conference in China

At a big press conference in China, Xiaomi not only presented a number of highly anticipated devices intended for ordinary consumers, such as foldable phones or even smart watches. It also revealed a prototype racing electric car labeled SU7 Ultra, which will try to dazzle in October with an excellent time at Germany’s Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit.
Four-door sedan Xiaomi SU7 Ultra it is powered by a HyperEngine V8s engine with a horsepower of 578 PS. Thanks to it, the car itself can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 1.97 seconds, and then reach a speed of 300 kilometers in a quarter of a minute. The maximum speed is according to the manufacturer’s materials exceed 350 km/h.

The vehicle’s construction relies heavily on carbon, which makes up all the exterior panels. This contributes to a significant weight reduction to just 1,900 kg. Xiaomi also highlights the maximum downforce of 2,145 kg, which will give the car perfect grip and stability during high-speed maneuvers.
Xiaomi officially introduced its first electric cars of the SU7 series at the end of March. It offers three versions to those interested in China, which, in addition to price, differ mainly in terms of maximum speed and range.
