Various Xiaomi devices will receive the update to HyperOS 2 in November. First up is the brand new Xiaomi 14T. A look at the schedule.
Xiaomi is letting the cat out of the bag: The global rollout of HyperOS 2.0, the next big update for the Xiaomi device world, will begin in November 2024. The operating system is based on Android 15 and brings not only smartphones but also tablets and smartwatches up to date. Now Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun on his X account published the official rollout plan.
New possibilities for personalization
One of the biggest innovations in HyperOS 2.0 is the expanded personalization options. Xiaomi now offers numerous new designs for the lock screen and new widgets for the home screen. Animated wallpapers are intended to make the device even more individual. The user interface has also been revised: quick settings should now be clearer and the animations appear more fluid.
HyperOS 2.0: AI meets everyday life
In keeping with the current AI hype, HyperOS 2.0 also integrates artificial intelligence more closely into everyday life. One of the innovations is the ability to generate texts. This is particularly practical for anyone who often relies on creative ideas for daily correspondence. There are also new AI tools such as an ID scanner and an image search, which make it possible to find photos based on descriptions.
The official HyperOS 2.0 rollout schedule
Xiaomi has already published the rollout schedule for the first devices. The first models will launch in November, including the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro. Numerous other devices will follow in December, including the Xiaomi 13 series and various models from the Redmi and Poco series.
