Yamaha has been developing and delivering practical training programs for a wide range of applications for over 30 years, with the goal of creating a better sounding world. In 2018, the programs were combined under the name Audioversity. Since then, the company has trained more than 100,000 people in more than 50 countries.
Webinars and self-training
A main goal of Audioversity training is to be more accessible and reach more people in more places. To achieve this, content includes webinars and self-training, allowing participants to acquire new skills without having to travel to training locations. Audioversity Online takes this a step further by deploying a Learning Management System (LMS) that offers the flexibility to choose either online or traditional in-person content – or both.
Audioversity Online covers a wide range of audio applications and offers users the opportunity to systematically learn and gain practical knowledge about solutions, products and technologies that address common challenges. It contains level-specific content, all designed with clear and concise concepts, so even beginners can improve their skills and deepen their understanding of audio technology with confidence.
Some Audioversity courses offer AVIXA CTS/ANP holders the opportunity to earn Renewal Unit (RU) credits upon receipt of a course completion certificate. These courses also offer Yamaha certification, which recognizes the student’s commitment to professional development and helps improve their career prospects and open up new opportunities. The availability of Audioversity Online Training will initially be offered in Europe, Great Britain, India, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and will gradually be expanded to other countries.
“With Audioversity, Yamaha is committed to providing users with the knowledge and tools they need to create innovative professional sound and AV projects,” said Thomas Hemery, Yamaha Senior General Manager, Professional Solutions Division. “With the launch of Audioversity Online, we want to offer even more people the opportunity to expand their skills and further expand our response to the evolving needs of the professional audio industry.”
