Yamaha presented the NMAX 125 scooter at the EICMA fair

At the EICMA fair in Milan, Yamaha presented the new NMAX 125 sports scooter, which, in addition to the basic one, now also has a Tech MAX version.

As usual, there are things the two variants share, but also features that set them apart. We’ll start as always, with common things.

The two variants share the same face, adorned with a new front light projector with integrated LED lights. At the opposite end, Yamaha has installed an LED headlight. The body between the two ends has been refreshed, and the most visible change is the new shape of the case.

The engine that powers the two scooters is also the same. We are talking about a four-stroke unit of 125 cc with a start/stop system, which complies with Euro5+ emission standards. As for consumption, the fuel tank of 7.1 liters should have lasted as much as 300 km. All those kilometers will be covered on 13-inch alloy wheels.

The basic NMAX 125 offers its riders the maximum possible comfort considering such a small package. It is equipped with a storage space under the seat that can accommodate a helmet and an open front pocket on the left and right sides.

In terms of technology, the scooter offers only the basics: up front is a 4.2-inch LCD control panel and a USB-C charger, and the two-wheeler works with a Smart Key keyless ignition system.

The new Yamaha NMAX 125 will be offered in two color combinations, Icon Black and Milky White. The model should be available at dealers in January of next year, but for now there is no information about the prices.

The Tech MAX version comes with all the features that the base model can offer, but also adds a few extras. The list includes a contoured double seat with a black leather-look cover with gold stitching and suede detailing and two exclusive colors, Ceramic Gray and Dark Magma.

Probably the most notable additional feature is the 4.2-inch TFT dashboard that supports free Garmin navigation. This item is what allows the driver to enjoy access to listening to music, answering calls and even checking e-mails.

The Yamaha NMAX 125 Tech MAX will go on sale from May next year. The price is not known for him either.
