Meta trains its AI on user posts, comments, and photos. It has been doing so for 17 years.

AI needs huge amounts of training data to develop, and I think everyone accepts this fact without a problem, but not everyone realizes that this dataset includes our social media posts – and even if they are aware of it, not everyone has the right to object. Meta has just confirmed that it has been using data scraped from Instagram and Facebook since 2007 to train AI.
