Marilyn Manson: The Brutal Truth is a three-part documentary series that will arrive at Yle Areena next Sunday.

Yle describes the Marilyn Manson: Unmasked series completed this year as follows:

“A startling documentary series examines the sexual crime charges against Marilyn Manson and their impact on his career. The series sheds light on the events from the perspectives of the victims and Manson’s inner circle, offering an in-depth look at the consequences of the scandal and the changes in the public image.”

The British-produced series will arrive in its entirety at Yle Areena on Sunday, September 29. On Yle TV2, the series will be shown on three consecutive Sundays, 29 September, 6 October. and 13.10.

Yle has presented the episodes as follows:

Episode 1: The Shiver

“In the 1990s, Marilyn Manson becomes a shock rock icon, arousing both admiration and strong criticism. In the aftermath of the Columbine school shooting, he becomes an advocate of artistic freedom and a cultural provocateur who challenges social norms and values.”

Episode 2: In the middle of the commotion

“Actress Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson attract attention with their relationship in the early 2000s. Years later, Wood accuses Manson of abuse. When Wood speaks publicly, other women step forward as well.”

Episode 3: Chain of accusations

“After Eva Rachel Wood’s testimony, Marilyn Manson has been accused of sexual and emotional abuse. As a result, the police search Manson’s home, and Rolling Stone magazine publishes an in-depth article on the subject. Manson denies the allegations.”
