Yongin Severance Hospital announced that it has opened an international clinic on the first floor of the hospital to quickly treat foreign patients.

The opening ceremony was attended by Yongin Severance Hospital Director Kim Eun-kyung, International Medical Center Director Kwon Kwon-jin, faculty and staff, and officials from Pyeongtaek U.S. Military Hospital, Osan U.S. Military Hospital, and International SOS.

Yongin Severance Hospital established an international clinic to respond to the needs of US military personnel and medical tourists in neighboring Pyeongtaek and Osan. We provide support services such as quick medical appointments, postpayment of medical fees, and receipt of treatment, examination, and medication to foreign patients who visit the international clinic. We are also planning to support accompanying services during comprehensive health checkups for US military personnel and their families.

The hospital plans to assign practical staff, such as clerks and nurses, to the international clinic and recruit volunteers who can interpret to provide smooth medical support services in the future.

Hospital Director Kim Eun-kyung said, “We are pleased to provide more effective customized medical services to foreign patients, which have been increasing every year since opening,” and added, “We will expand our role as the only university hospital in Yongin Special City by attracting a variety of international patients in the future.”

Meanwhile, Yongin Severance Hospital signed a business agreement in October last year with International SOS, which provides insurance services to U.S. troops around the world, to establish a medical support system for U.S. forces stationed in Korea, and provides outpatient, inpatient, and emergency medical care to U.S. military personnel stationed in Korea and their families. I’m doing it.
