President Yoon Seok-yeol said on the 24th, “We must come together as one and help our representative Han Dong-hoon. When he faces difficulties, do not leave him to solve them alone, but provide help from those around him.”

President Yoon invited the new leadership of the People Power Party, the candidates for party leadership, and party officials to the Pine Grass in the presidential office that evening for a dinner and to celebrate the launch of the new party leadership. The dinner was held a day after the new leadership was selected at the People Power Party convention the previous day.

At this event, President Yoon pledged to work with the party to improve the people’s livelihood and successfully complete reform tasks, Spokesperson Jeong Hye-jeon reported in a written briefing.

The dinner was attended by key party officials, including the new party leader, new supreme council members In Yo-han, Kim Min-jeon, Kim Jae-won, and Jang Dong-hyeok, new youth supreme council member Jin Jong-oh, party leadership candidates Na Kyung-won, Won Hee-ryong, and Yoon Sang-hyun, and floor leader Choo Kyung-ho.

In the presidential office, senior-level staff members including Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok and National Security Office Director Jang Ho-jin were present. To promote open communication and a free atmosphere, no one wore a tie.

Yoon Encourages New Representative Han, “Thank You for Your Hard Work”

President Yoon Representative Han, who was waiting in front of Pine Grass, shook hands with floor leader Chu and encouraged him, saying, “Thank you for your hard work.” He continued, “I was worried about what would happen if there were areas damaged by the heavy rain in the morning. Thank you all for your hard work,” and greeted each and every party member.

Before the dinner, President Yoon and the attendees held hands and took a photo together on the Pine Grass lawn to strengthen the unity between the ruling and opposition parties, and shouted, “Go, People Power Party!”

President Yoon, who moved to the dining hall inside Pine Grass, said in his remarks, “Thank you all for your hard work over the past month, including Representative Han,” and emphasized unity by saying, “We should forget about the party election once the election is over. Now, let’s just think about ‘how can we do better in the future?’”

In response, Representative Han said, “I will work hard for the success of the Yoon Seok-yeol government and the re-creation of the regime.” Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho said, “Let’s unite to fight against the Democratic Party’s legislative tyranny.”

“Please exercise good leadership and lead the party”

President Yoon moved around the table during the meal to encourage the attendees. He also urged the new leadership to “think of us as comrades and communicate directly with the senior presidential secretaries,” and to Representative Han to “exercise good leadership and lead the party well.”

Rep. Na Kyung-won, who was running for the party leadership, said, “Let’s all become the president’s chief spokesperson,” Rep. Yoon Sang-hyun said, “Let’s talk, be considerate, and encourage each other. The president’s success is the party’s success and everyone’s success,” and former Minister Won Hee-ryong said, “We are one team,” emphasizing his will for unity between the ruling and opposition parties.

The supreme council members also expressed their will for unity within the party. Supreme council member Kim Min-jeon said, “President Yoon and Representative Han are like a savage,” and Supreme council member In Yo-han suggested, “We are family. I hope we can get through this together as a family.”

Supreme Council member Jang Dong-hyeok expressed his determination by saying, “Let’s fight, let’s win, let’s protect,” and youth Supreme Council member Jin Jong-oh emphasized, “The future of the Republic of Korea is its youth.”

As the atmosphere ripened, President Yoon took a love shot with Representative Han, and Representative Han toasted with all the party representative candidates who competed at the convention. The dinner, which lasted about two hours, ended in a friendly atmosphere.

The dinner menu that day included pork belly and lettuce wrap. The pork belly is a food that can be eaten between close friends, and it symbolizes harmony between the party, government, and the government, while the lettuce wrap symbolizes harmony by bringing everything together. In addition, bindae-tteok, seaweed soup, kimchi kimbap, and fruit for dessert were provided. Various drinks and beer for toasts were also prepared, and Zero Coke was prepared for the representative who does not drink. It is known that President Yoon put a lot of effort into his first dinner with the new leadership, to the point of personally selecting every single menu item.

President Yoon said, “If you come again next time, I will treat you with a better menu,” and promised to meet again next time. At the dinner that day, there was no discussion about political issues such as the Special Prosecutor’s Act for the Democratic Party of Korea, and it is reported that President Yoon and Representative Han decided to schedule a private meeting later.
