The SanDisk Creator Phone SSD is available in either 1TB or 2TB
At the Consumer Electronics Show CES 2025, Western Digital presented new SanDisk brand storage solutions designed primarily for digital content creators and gamers. This is the Creator model line, which includes various types of memory cards, USB sticks and SSD drives.
Among them, we were most interested in the SanDisk Creator Phone SSD. This brand new SSD drive is specially designed for creating content on the go and easily connects to smartphones with MagSafe support, data “flows” of course via USB-C, which you get with the drive. Via USB-C, it can also be connected to other devices, for example to Mac computers, or to most iPads.
With iPhone 16 Pro or Pro Max smartphones or iPhone 15 series equivalents, you can record ProRes video in high resolution (4K, 120 fps), but only if the data goes directly to the external drive. SandDisk Creator makes this possible.
The drive has a capacity of up to 2 TB, a read speed of up to 1000 MB/s and a write speed of up to 950 MB/s. For example, it allows you to easily record videos in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second in the Apple ProRes format directly on the Creator Phone and start editing immediately.
The SanDisk Creator Phone SSD has a USB-C connector (USB 3.2 Gen. 2), its dimensions are 8.3 × 6.8 × 1.1 cm and it weighs 54 grams (1 TB)

The disk is also durable, has a silicone casing, protection against falling from a height of up to three meters and resistance to water and dust IP65. This means that the drive is completely dustproof, protected against the ingress of any solid foreign bodies and resistant to water jets from all directions (but not immersion).
The official price has not yet been published, in the American media it is written that 1 TB should cost approximately 110 dollars –
