You can try some apps from One UI 7 today. This is how you install them

Samsung is preparing to introduce the One UI 7.0 superstructure, which will be built on top of the operating system Android 15. This update will bring significant design changes, but also new functions to make the user experience more pleasant.

Redesign of system applications and settings panel

One UI 7.0 will introduce new icons for several native apps, including Camera, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, and Weather. These icons will have a more rounded appearance and some, such as Phone and Samsung Internet, will get a three-dimensional effect.

The quick panel and the notification bar will be divided into two separate parts in One UI 7.0, between which it will be possible to switch by swiping left or right. This approach is similar to solutions in iOS and Xiaomi MIUI.

Users will be able to change the location of quick switches, sliders, clocks and mini-widgets on the lock screen, which will increase the level of personalization of the device.

Improved Camera user interface

The Camera application will get a new interface, where the main controls will be moved to the bottom of the screen, which will allow for more convenient one-handed operation.

One UI 7.0 will introduce the Continuity feature, which will allow smooth transitions of video calls between different Galaxy devices, such as smartphones, tablets and Samsung TVs.

You can try some of the renewed applications today. It’s about Calendar , Reminders a Voice Recorder. But you have to download and install them as an .apk file. If you do not have the permission to install third-party applications enabled in the settings, a pop-up window will pop up that redirects you to a specific setting. The Calendar app requires a Galaxy s phone Android 13 or higher, the other two applications require Android 14.

After downloading the installation file, a window will appear with a menu to update the selected application. Confirm and the app will be updated to the version from One UI 7. Device availability and support
