For those who love unique accommodation, the following Scottish accommodation will certainly be on their bucket list. THE The Bus Stop The hotel is special not only because you can sleep in converted buses, but also because a number of additional services await guests. These make the place not only comfortable, but also homely.
The Bus Stop is a real spread-out table for those who want to experience what it’s like to sleep on buses that once littered the roads. The hotel offers two categories – Eco and Luxury. This division allows everyone to find the solution that best suits their wallet or their current spending mood.
The owners of the place gave us the view, the choice is not easy, but in the Eco category you can basically find Optare low-floor city buses, and there is also a double-decker, kind of like a cuckoo’s egg. In the case of single-decker buses, there are some that only have room for a double bed, but there are also some that can fit a single bed in addition to the double bed.
They tried to make the buses as homely as possible. That is why they were equipped not only with a kitchen, but also with a toilet and a bathroom. Moreover, fireplaces were placed in them in view of the cold nights. If someone wants to, they can also show off their kitchen skills, as each bus has a gas stove or gas hotplate. Depending on the equipment, there are also fire pits, BBQ grills and hot tubs around the buses. So everything is given to make the guests feel good.
All this is combined with a wonderful landscape, which guests can enjoy even sitting in the driver’s seat. It can be wonderful to watch the sunrise while sipping a silky latte from the seat of such a bus. There are fewer Luxury category buses, but they are called that because they have undergone a major transformation. Their interiors are less reminiscent of their original purpose, and more like camper vans. They are equipped with built-in wardrobes, huge double beds and a well-equipped kitchen.
The Bus Stop hotel can therefore be an ideal choice for transport and bus enthusiasts. When making a reservation, please note that there are no guest arrivals on Tuesdays and Saturdays. And the accommodation providers accept reservations of at least two nights. The prices of the buses are completely different, but for the Luxury category version, you have to pay at least 345 pounds, while for the Eco, at least 230 pounds, which corresponds to HUF 150,000 and HUF 106,000, respectively. The special hotel is located east of Edinburgh, on a farm.
