State Police are reminding residents to wear seat belts not only in cars, but also in vans and buses.
According to the rules, passengers are required to wear seat belts not only in cars, but also in minibuses and buses. For violation of this requirement, both passengers and drivers carrying unbelted passengers may be fined from 30 to 70 euros, the police clarified.
Commenting on the statement of the head of the Center for Emergency Medicine of the Children’s Clinical University Hospital Date Barkevichmade on air on Latvian television, that the passengers of the vehicle, victims of the accident on January 10 on the Venspils highwaywere not wearing a seat belt, police representative Lina Bagdone noted that all the circumstances of the incident will be established during the ongoing criminal process.
