Young influencer wins Wild with dance

The winners of this year’s “Wild with dance” – the 21st season in a row – are influencer Anna Munch and dance partner Eugen Miu.

The couple grab the title and the trophy ahead of Badehotellet star Morten Hemmingsen and his partner, Malene Østergaard, who finish in second place, and TV 2 host Rasmus Staghøj and his dance partner, Asta Björk, who take third place.

– Oh, it feels very wild!, was the reaction from Anna Munch to the program’s two hosts, Martin Johannes Larsen and debutante Cilia Trappaud.

– You are just so proud and happy already, so this is just a huge bonus to take with you!

At the age of 19, Anna Munch is the youngest participant to have won the dance competition. She was born in 2005 – the same year that “Vild med dans” premiered on TV 2.

It happened in the studio at Østerbro in Copenhagen on Friday evening, where the couples were on the floor twice.

First with the last of the ten classic competition dances they had to go through during the season before they were given free rein in their freestyles, where all dance virtues such as posture, heel and toe are scrapped.

Here the couple received top marks from all the judges.

– I can’t believe you haven’t danced before. You look like someone who has been dancing all your life. Huge gift, said judge Marianne Eihilt.

Anna Munch and Eugen Miu have week after week impressed both the judges, who have signed off with towering marks, and not least the viewers, who together have sent the couple directly on again and again.

Before the winning couple was chosen, after the viewers’ SMS votes and the judges’ marks were added up, there was a reunion with the seven couples who started the premiere program on 20 September.

Here, reality star Philip May’s rumba with partner Camilla Dalsgaard ended in a proposal to his girlfriend, Simone Hvenegaard.

And then actress May Lifschitz finally got the opportunity to show her and partner Mads Vad’s pasodoble, which they should have been on the floor with in program seven. But here May Lifschitz had to leave with a stomach bug just 20 minutes before the show started.

Despite the shock exit, her participation is historic. She is the first transgender person to have participated in the dance competition.

“Wild with Dance” celebrated its 20-season anniversary last year and marked it by looking back.

Therefore, the 21st season would shape the future of “Vild med dans”, said TV 2’s entertainment editor, Mads Elias Højbjerg Ravn, ahead of the premiere.

But after the final, he cannot say anything about the future of “Wild med dans”.

– There are many production reasons for this, explains the entertainment editor to the press in attendance.

– We promise that as soon as we have a clarification, you will be the first to know.
