Youth killed in Jatrabari clash

A young man named Siam (18) was shot and killed in a clash between students and locals at Hanif flyover in Jatrabari of the capital. The deceased was an employee of a battery shop in Siam Gulistan.

Informing about the matter, the in-charge inspector of DMK Hospital police camp Bachchu Mia said, ‘Siam was brought to the hospital’s emergency department at 12 midnight by his relatives. Later they realize that Siam is dead. For this reason, they did not enter the hospital and left with the dead body.

Siam’s cousin Russell said Siam is an employee of a battery shop in Gulistan. On his way back home at night, he was shot dead during an encounter at Hanif Flower. Siam died on the spot.

Russell said, ‘After taking him to Dhaka Medical, we did not enter again. I am going home by taking the body in an autorickshaw.’

Siam’s village home Bhola is in high fashion. Lived in a rented house in Matuail.

Students agitating for quota reform clashed at Shanir Akhara area of ​​Jatrabari on Wednesday night. At that time, 6 people, including the father and his two-year-old child, who were at the gate of the house, were shot dead by the police. The local residents also became angry. Agitators set fire to various areas of Jatrabari-Syedabad road including tow plaza of Mayor Hanif flyover. Clashes escalated and Mayor Hanif Siam was shot dead on the flyover.
