YouTube Premium Lite is being tested in additional countries. Now it can be enjoyed by users from Germany. How does it work in practice?

YouTube Premium Lite: Paid YouTube subscription without ads
YouTube Premium Lite is a form of subscription presented a few months ago that allows you to enjoy access to the website without ads. And in fact, this is the only benefit that subscribers can count on – all the rest of the functions (playing in the background, downloading to the device’s memory, access to the YouTube Music platform, higher quality) are available only to subscribers of the more expensive subscription: YouTube Premium.
YouTube without ads at half price. That makes sense
Google has been increasingly aggressive in its fight against ad blocking software in recent months. The cat and mouse game began in earnest. Therefore, the company hopes to convince potential customers with something different. And considering the fact that YouTube Premium Lite costs almost half as much in the countries where it is available (in Australia, regular YouTube Premium costs $22.99. The Lite version costs $11.99 per month), this really makes a lot of sense . And apart from its limited operations in Australia and Thailand, the company is also testing this form of subscription in our Western neighbors. In Germany, YouTube Premium Lite costs €5.99 per month.
At the moment, we do not know yet whether the giant will provide greater expansion after the tests. However, I must admit that I would like to see more subscription options. I have no illusions that lower costs mean greater potential from potential customers. And in an age of increasingly aggressive advertising, it may make more sense than ever before.
