YouTube sent some of its Russian users notifications that Roskomnadzor had included their videos with methods of bypassing blocking in the register of prohibited information.
The company noted that if the blogger does not delete the video, the platform will do it independently. A Roskomnadzor representative confirmed that they have sent requests to remove materials promoting the use of VPNs.
To date, the YouTube administration has not fulfilled the requirements to remove more than 300 materials that popularize the use of VPN services and other programs to bypass blocks of access to content that is illegal in Russia.
