YouTube is testing a feature that will make it even easier to get lost in the stream of videos –

Google wants to save us from the decision of having to select the first video.

It is not easy to choose from the countless user materials on YouTube, but it is certain that every second something appears on the surface that we might like. In recent years, the site has tried to increase the time we spend watching videos with automatic continuation and recommendations, but after opening the application, we still have to select the first video. This is what the platform wants to facilitate now.

YouTube has been testing a “play something” button since last year. Pressing this, the mobile application immediately brings us a Short video (in its current form) and from there sends the content in our face until we close it.

YouTube says the button can also open regular video content, but testers report that the feature currently focuses on shorts.

There have been several versions of this button: last May there was a banner in the application that performed a similar task. This time it’s a floating button that’s there on the screen, regardless of what we’re spinning. It is not known when Google wants to introduce this everywhere, but if the button appears in the near future, then do not be surprised.
