YouTube Premium is a service provided by Google that allows the user to watch videos on the YouTube platform without any ads, while also offering YouTube Music for listening to music. Of course, you have to pay a monthly subscription for this service. However, this is now significantly increasing, including for Czech users.
YouTube Premium increases in price by tens of percent
There are quite a large number of platforms for paid content today. Moreover, the price of some has increased quite a bit in recent months. It is worth mentioning, for example Netflix or Maxwho recently changed their tariffs and increased the price. About a year ago, YouTube Premium also received a price increase. But then it was mainly about the USA, while now the prices change mainly in Europe.
Unfortunately, this also applies to Czech users. Until the current date, the subscription cost 179 crowns per month. In contrast, the new price is 209 crowns. The new pricing policy also affected the family tariff. Instead of 269 crowns, get it now YouTube charges 389 crowns. In some states, however, the price increase is even more significant.

Apple users are more unlucky
YouTube Premium price hikes have affected virtually all platforms. Whatever you use Android, iOS or Windows. However, reports from Reddit they indicatethat if you registered for the service via Apple device through which you also pay, the price has increased even more.
A user in Swedish commented that his price was raised by an incredible 60%. That’s reportedly a much larger percentage increase than users of the service who pay through have seen Google.
What is the reason for the price increase?
The price increase certainly did not please any user YouTube Premium. So how does Google present this change? Users of the service received an email in which the US tech giant mentions that the price increase will help them continue to provide great services and features while they can adequately support creators.
