YouTube Premium users around the world have woken up to some bad news these past few days. In over a dozen countries, the price of plans individual e family members Of YouTube Premium has increased significantly. This is just the latest wave of price increases from Google, as many countries saw price jumps just months ago, such as the United States.
This time the price increases seem to be concentrated mainly in Europe. In Italy, in fact, the price of the individual account has increased from 11,99€ a 13,99€while the family plan from 17,99€ a 25,99€.
As usual, Google’s email to users announcing the price increases states that this will allow for “continue to provide excellent service and features” and “support the creators and artists you watch on YouTube.” Interestingly, the price increases appear to be even higher for people who signed up for Premium through Apple on an Apple-branded streaming device. As expected, most YouTube communities across the internet are filled with people announcing that they’ve canceled their subscriptions.
