YouTube Premium tariffs are getting really expensive in the Czech Republic! Is it still worth it?

  • YouTube Premium is increasing prices in many European countries, including the Czech Republic
  • In the Czech Republic, the price of an individual subscription increased by 17%, the price of a family plan increased by 45%
  • This step was quite expected, in the USA the service became more expensive last year

Well, YouTube Premium users won’t be happy with this. Google decided to improve a bit and this time the change mainly affected European countries, including the Czech Republic. For Czech users, this means a noticeable increase in monthly fees, especially for family tariffs.

  • Individual subscription: from 179 CZK to 209 CZK (increase by 17%)
  • Family tariff: from 269 CZK to 389 CZK (45% increase)

This price increase comes relatively soon after a previous wave of price hikes that affected many countries including the US. YouTube Premium subscribers will have to ask themselves if the service is still worth it at the new price. Let us remind you that the main advantages of a premium account include: ad-free viewing, the ability to download videos for offline playback and access to YouTube Music.

For many users, the increase in the price of the family tariff by CZK 120 per month may be cause for concern. On the other hand, dividing this amount among several family members still represents a favorable alternative to individual accounts.

How do you feel about this price increase? Do you think the new price of YouTube Premium is reasonable, or are you considering canceling your subscription? Let us know in the community!
