YouTube Tests Saving Option for Short Videos

YouTube continues to roll out improvements to the interface of Short videos. With the new update, users will now be able to save Short videos. For this, the company adds a new “Save” option to the interface. In this way, you can see the videos you have previously watched and saved in one place.

However, YouTube replaces the “Save” option with the “Dislike” option used by many users. Users generally used this option when they came across content they did not like. The algorithm also did not recommend videos to the user that they did not like.

YouTube is currently testing the interface with the “Save” option with a limited number of users. There is no information on when the global version will be released.

However, the “Dislike” option is not completely removed from the application. Users will still be able to use this option to indicate content they do not like. However, in the renewed interface, the “Dislike” option will be embedded in the three-dot menu in the player.

You can save the videos you record either to an existing playlist or by creating a new playlist. It is unclear when the update will be available to all users. However, we may see this with an update soon.
