(Health Korea News / Lee Soon-ho) Yuhan Corporation announced on the 2nd that it has launched ‘Pocket Booster’, a dual-functional health functional food probiotic that simultaneously manages exercise performance and intestinal health.
‘Pocket Booster’ is Korea’s first exercise performance-enhancing lactic acid bacteria. It is a probiotic product using individually approved raw material Lactiplantibacillus plantarum TWK10, which has been recognized for its functionality by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. It is a new functional lactic acid bacteria product from Yuhan Corporation, which pioneered a new lactic acid bacteria market in 2015 with ‘Elena’, a female vaginal health lactic acid bacteria.
According to the IRB results report of a human application test targeting 60 adult males aged 20 to 40, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum TWK10 improved exercise performance by increasing grip strength, decreasing blood lactate, decreasing blood ammonia, and increasing the time until exhaustion.
‘Pocket Booster’ not only cares for the intestinal health of students and office workers who have difficulty in bowel movements with its guaranteed number of 10 billion bacteria, but also helps athletes who want to get better at exercising and middle-aged and older people who exercise for a sense of accomplishment enjoy exercising and improve their quality of life with an energetic lifestyle.
