Zelenski: Fighting with North Korean soldiers opened a new page of instability

Ukraine and the world should do everything possible so that the engagement of the North Korean army on the side of Russia becomes a losing step for both the Kremlin and North Korea, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message tonight, reports Ukrinform.

– Unfortunately, terror can spread like a virus when it does not meet enough resistance. Now the resistance must become strong enough. The first battles with North Korean soldiers open a new page of instability in the world. Together with the world, we must do everything to prevent this Russian step for the expansion of the war, for a real escalation, so that this step by (Russian President Vladimir) Putin becomes a loss for both him and North Korea – Zelensky warned.

At the same time, he thanked “everyone in the world who reacted to the appearance of North Korean soldiers in Russia”, as well as those who are therefore preparing appropriate actions to support the defense of Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian agency reminds, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov confirmed today the information that the Armed Forces entered into combat with North Korean troops for the first time after North Korea sent its forces to help Russia.
