“I had a great phone conversation with President Trump and congratulated him on his historic landslide victory – his excellent campaign made this result possible. I praised his family and team for their excellent work,” Zelensky wrote on the Telegram platform.
He added that both agreed to maintain a close dialogue and develop bilateral cooperation.
“Strong and steadfast leadership of the United States is essential for the world and a just peace,” the Ukrainian president emphasized.
It has already been reported that Trump’s victory in the presidential election has increased fears that the United States could reduce aid to Ukraine.
