The highest and lowest voter turnout in the regional elections were achieved by municipalities from Znojemsko in the south of Moravia. While 83.73 percent of the 43 registered voters came to vote in Zblovice, only 16.49 percent of the 97 voters in the list came to vote in Podmyce, near Vranov nad Dyjí. There were large differences in voter turnout in all parts of the region, the biggest drop was in turnout in regional elections in Brno, according to data published on https://www.volby.cz/.
The total voter turnout in the region reached 35.08 percent this year, in 2020 it was 38.82 percent, the turnout was lower this year in all parts of the region.
The regional elections in the south of Moravia were won by Spolu ahead of ANO and Stačilo! In the council, which has 65 members, the victorious Spolu occupied 31 seats. The mayors won four mandates, together with them they will form a coalition.
Compared to the previous regional elections, voter turnout in Zblovice increased, in 2020 70.73 percent of voters cast their votes there, while in Podmyce, on the other hand, voter turnout decreased this year, reaching 21.35 percent four years ago.
Znojemsko is the district with the most stable voter turnout compared to this year’s and previous regional elections. Voter turnout was down just 0.16 percentage points compared to 2020, from 33.82 percent four years ago to 33.66 percent this year.
On the contrary, the biggest drop in voter turnout is evident in regional elections in Brno, where voter turnout decreased by 6.75 percentage points, i.e. from 41.45 percent in 2020 to 34.70 percent this year.
Among the individual parts of the region, the largest number of people came to vote traditionally in Brno, namely 38.43 percent, while the fewest people came to vote in Hodonín Region, where voter turnout reached 32.84 percent.
